Aishwarya Rai Biography

Aishwarya Rai, born on 1st November, 1973 at Mangalore, is an Indian actress cum model, and wife of the famous actor Abhishek Bachchan, and mother of – Aaradhya Rai Bachchan.

Aishwarya Rai is the daughter in law of the legendary super star Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan and daughter of Kirishnaraj and Brinda Rai.

Aishwarya started her career as a model and won the Miss World Pageant. She is considered to be the most beautiful women in the world. Later she made her debut in 1997 in a Tamil movie Iruvar directed by the genius Mani Ratnam. She is a trained classical dancer.

Aishwarya Rai has acted in Hindi, English, Tamil, Bengali films till date and some of her memorable performances have been in films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam for which she won the best actress award from filmfare, for Devdas she again won the best actress award. For her contribution to the Indian cinema she was honored and given the Padma Shri award.
