SANTA MONICA-- Sherman
Oaks teen Jake Davidson got turned down for his high school prom by Kate
Upton, but he won a pretty nice consolation prize: Danish supermodel
Nina Agdal attended the dance with him Thursday night.
Agdal was the

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition's 2012 Rookie of
the Year, and might be even better known as the tanned, bikini-clad girl
on the beach in Carl's Jr. ads.
Davidson, who attends Milken Community High School in Bel-Air, had
produced a YouTube video earlier this year asking Upton to his prom that
has now tallied 2.6 million views. Upton was charmed by the proposal
and thought about it, before saying her schedule wouldn't allow her
attendance.
His mother, Cheryl Davidson, said Agdal got in touch with her son after he was turned down.
"Jake was waiting to hear from Kate and when Nina heard about it, she
said 'If Kate can't go, I'd like to go' because she never got to go to
her prom," she said, as she followed behind her son's limo to a pre-prom
event.
Agdal wore a softly draped halter-top gown in moss green to the prom,
held at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica, while
Davidson chose a smoky gray, single-breasted tuxedo with black bow tie.
"This prom has been
incredible," he said in an interview at the event. "Nina Agdal is like so down to earth. Really cool, really nice."
"It was a great day. I really enjoyed it."
The dream night was the result of weeks of media interviews and
behind-the-scenes negotiations that started with a less than two-minute
video shot by his friend and aspiring filmmaker Talia Myers.
Myers was also at the prom Thursday to shoot footage of the couple's night together.
But the couple and friends left the event after less than 90 minutes,
saying they were concerned that media attention was distracting to
other students at the prom.
The Upton video, posted in March, features Davidson reading the
Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition with Upton on the cover and
continues with clips of Davidson shaving, doing push-ups and showering.
"I absolutely loved the video," Upton said March 20 in a telephone
call to "The Today Show," where Davidson was appearing as a studio guest
in Los Angeles. "It was so hilarious and so creative."
At the time, Upton said she'd try make the prom if her schedule would allow it, but eventually she determined she couldn't go.
"Both of these women have been really sweet and adorable about it," Cheryl Davidson said.
Agdal flew into Los Angeles on Wednesday for the prom and hung out
all day Thursday with Davidson getting dolled up for the event, Cheryl
Davidson said.
"She'd be a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10," Jake Davidson told the
entertainment show "Inside Edition." "She's as pretty, as beautiful as
it gets. She'll be the greatest looking prom date of all time."
On Thursday night, Agdal tweeted a black and white photo of her and
Davidson and the message "Had such a great prom night. Thank you
@jakedavidson23 for being an awesome date!"
Davidson followed up with a tweet of his own. "@NinaAgdal you are the best! thanks so much for everything."
